Cythera is thrilled to announce to be joining forces with Bastion Security Group to create a 150 person strong dedicated cyber security business across Australia and New Zealand.
After being established in 2018 by Euan Prentice, Craig Joyce, Tim Sank and Ben Cuthbert, Cythera has reached an agreement to be acquired by Bastion with the transaction expected to be completed before 31 December 2024.
Tim Sank, Cythera Co-Founder, explained “we have taken this decision to provide more value-added services to our clients and were attracted to Bastion’s complimentary capabilities which will support the continuation of our rapid growth".

The news is quickly spreading with the Australian Financial Review publishing an article speaking about the acquisition with Bastion who will now have more than 150 cybersecurity professionals and more than 400 enterprise clients across Australia and New Zealand.
The leadership team at Cythera will remain in place and the bolstered Cythera brand will continue providing top quality managed cyber security solutions to all current and future customers.
